災害支援や防災、減災を考える際には、自らや相手の顔を思い浮かべて行動を広げていくことが必要だと、為末さんは訴えています。
国連ユニタール持続可能な繁栄局では、津波防災のための女性のリーダーシップ研修など、防災や気候変動の影響などについても考える研修事業を展開しています。

On World Environment Day, we are reminded that there is #OnlyOneEarth, our home. Our activities threaten Earth’s sustainability, causing the climate crisis that is unleashing bigger, more frequent disasters worldwide.
It’s up to each of us to make Earth sustainable for future generations.
